The Filmmaker Behind the Frame

I am an independent documentary filmmaker and visual storyteller working at the intersection of people, power, and place. My lens stays grounded in lived experience — listening first, earning trust, and translating complexity into stories that are honest, dignified, and lasting.

This practice is not about coverage. It is about context.

Over ten years, my work has taken me across Kenya and the wider region — into farms, courtrooms, informal settlements, remote communities, and global policy spaces. I have documented election observation missions, climate finance initiatives, women-led enterprises, faith practices, humanitarian responses, and governance processes, working alongside both local and international organisations.

The themes shift. The discipline stays the same.
